Machine Technical Reports

Clubroom Machines

  • [ROY] coffinfish is not displaying properly
    • Likely a power issue or dry solder joints
    • Would be dangerous to try and fix it
  • On one of the new machines, any time something from the front USB port is unplugged, it turns off
  • cobra is not booting
    • If someone at project night could look at it that would be good
  • New machines need to be added to the wiki
  • Need to buy the Mac Mini
    • [GPO] will do tonight
  • Fans and better coolers for machines are being donated by [KMF]

  • [ROY] milotic was installed on the rack, missing drives & SFP+ cables, OS not installed
    • We might need to get a bunch of SSDs soon (4TB ones will probably be best)

Miscellaneous

Python Study Night

  • Attendance was lower than expected
    • Might have to do with late advertising
    • Timing may also be part of the problem
