View Larger Map/Search from Where You Are
- From the main entrance of UWA at the corner of Stirling Highway, Winthrop Avenue, and Mounts Bay Road, head east towards Perth on Mounts Bay Road about 300 metres to first set of traffic control signals.
- Turn right here (and head south), at corner of Mounts Bay Road and Hackett Drive, and travel about 650 metres south on Hackett Drive, around Matilda Bay foreshore.
- At this point, there will be a turning lane to the right into the UWA carparks. This is Hackett Entrance 2, turn into this entrance (heading west).
- After entering the entrance, you have the choice of immediately turning left or right into car parking areas, or travelling straight ahead on a road. Turn right (heading north) and park right here. Between 8:00am and 5:00pm it is paid parking.
Note: If you do not wish to pay, you may park here after business hours or leave the carpark and find a parking bay along Hackett Drive. The bays along the west side of Hackett Drive (traffic travelling northbound) during business hours. East side of Hackett Drive parking (traffic travelling southbound) has no is a clearway between 4:15pm and 6:00pm and the City of Subiaco is very strict on issuing infringements.
- After parking, one can find the UCC by walking. These directions start from Hackett Entrance 2, facing west, with a carpark to your left and right. Walk about 30 metres straight ahead (travelling west away from Hackett Drive). To your right is a retaining wall and two parallel paths, one above the wall, and one below it. You may take either path about 25 metres north, as they meet again at a small number of steps. If you take the lower path, climb these steps when you find them near the big deciduous tree!
- When you are at the top of these steps, face west (with your back towards Hackett Drive). You will see a large paved area, with an black iron fence on the right of this paved area (around the Tavern courtyard). Head westward about 20 metres along this fenceline and turn right. There should be a few steps which you should climb. Turn right again, and you should be facing a large wooden pair of doors. This is the bottom door to the Cameron Hall loft and should be open. If it is not open you may find a doorbell in the top righthand corner of this door's doorframe.
- Enter this door, and you will find a stairwell. Travel on these stairs for three flights and you will be on a mezzanine level. Travel a further three flights upwards and you will be on the upper level. From this level, you will see a door to your right (the Science Union), a double door straight ahead of you (which is the top door to the Cameron Hall loft, and a set of stairs to your left (the roof hatch). If the door is open, travel through the double doors ahead of you. If they are not open, then travel back down the stairs to the bottom door and find the doorbell.
- Once through the double doors, you will be in a large, high-roofed area. Ahead of you are a set of stairs (which go up to the Loft), and to your right, a set of opened, glass double doors. Turn to the right and go through these doors.
-
After passing through the glass double doors, you will see a white door to your left (the UCC door), and a door further down to your right (the UniSFA door). Enter the door to your left.
- Congratulations, you are now in the University Computer Club.
